PDF Download Tips

The pdf files on the Lehigh Wheelmen site require that you have Adobe (was Adobe Acrobat) Reader 5.0 or higher installed on your computer. Newer versions are available, depending on your operating system. To determine which version you have, find Adobe/Acrobat Reader in your start menu and open it, then click Help > About Acrobat/Adobe Reader.
Adobe Reader is a free program.

First, read the instructions below, then return here and click the Adobe Download Page link.

When you reach the Adobe site, select (in the grey box) a language (English) and your operating system (Windows XP, Windows 98, etc).
Examine the download page carefully -- You might want to uncheck boxes for other programs that are offered in the same download.
Next, press the [DOWNLOAD] button.
When the file begins to download, you will be asked whether to Save or Open it. Open will run the install program as soon as the download is complete. Save allows you to save the file and install it at a later time by double clicking it.
This file, about 400KB, downloads quickly, but is not the actual Acrobat Reader program. It is a file to download and install the much larger (8.7MB) actual program. This operation can possibly take 3 hours with a slow connection, so the best method might be to choose Save in the first step, then run it at a more convenient time, possibly overnight.
